Greetings everyone! from a very dry trail Mundubbera to Gayndah!! 32k.
This month only yielded 15mm of rain! Flowering in nature has commenced but not to its full extent due to the diminished rainfall.
School holidays are upon us and our contractors and volunteers have our adventure trail in great condition, slashing took place from Humphery to Mundubbera. Signage upgrades and trail maintenance continuing. Rock picking over 50mm always ongoing and appreciated.

Considerable work has been carried out by volunteers on our rehabilitation section McConnells grid-Dirnbir Siding-Reid’s Creek identifying native trees cleaning around and siding maintenance. Many hundreds> of volunteer hours have been contributed to this section.

Of particular importance is the possible presence of bullheads (Spiny emex) which appear from August onwards causing problems with bicycle tyres. If any trail user experiences these weeds, please report with best possible area location so a control /eradication program can be carried out, please familiarise yourself with this pest!
Our members Daryl and Leona Stolzenberg have gratefully donated some very useful sawn and painted timber for trail projects, seats etc! many thanks!
Improvements with directional signs have been progressed at Humphery Bridge No 1, hopefully assisting with directions for trail users.

Plant maintenance has been carried out on the ZT trailer with our volunteer mechanic Wayne replacing wheel bearings and brush cutter servicing.
Placement of 2 bird boxes for Squirrel Gliders and Pale Headed Eastern Rosella at Humphery Siding has been achieved, fencing modifications and fence line clearing also completed for this project.

It has been a very rewarding month of activities, a call out for volunteers is required even if for a few hours, please consider.
Many Thanks! for all Volunteers, Supporters and Sponsors of our trail.
Cheers
Mike Goebel
