Burnett River Bridges Report November 2025

Greetings everyone, with more enjoyable weather. At last we had the pleasure of some storm rain with156mm for the month of November!!

The seasons trail maintenance began with the brush cutting of Reid’s Creek/Burnett River access one of our many river access points.

Roth’s bridge also received maintenance with grass cutting and tidy up.

Siding and trail maintenance with the ZT mower has been conducted at Dirnbir, Mount Debateable, Humphery, and No1 bridge reserve all have received their first late Spring mow.

Had favourable conditions to sow some couch grass on sandy sections of the trail as a trial stabilisation program, will be interesting to see results.

Mundubbera Ski Area trail opening at the twilight markets was a great success, wonderful to see such community support, Congratulations!

Heritage railway static display in the form of pole section, crossarm and insulators have been placed in the Hub, Thanks Doug and all involved!!!

Last of fire fencing repairs and tree replacements have taken place as the weather has not been agreeable (hot!), great effort from our volunteers!!!!

(Some trail information: our trail journey began in April 2014, the many years of volunteering and community input and support has been tremendous in creating such a valuable regional/state asset none of this would have occurred without our wonderful volunteers!!!!)

I encourage all trail users to wherever possible to assist in some small volunteering way to help our trail maintenance and development, please take pride and ownership of our trail, we value your input.

Will now take the opportunity to wish all members and trail supporters the very best of Health and Happiness for the coming Festive Season.

Hope to see you early morning on the trail for your walk or ride!!!!

Merry Christmas

Mike, trail volunteer
