Safety is Queensland Rail’s number one priority and we ask that people avoid entering the Monto branch line rail corridor for their own well being.
While Queensland Rail appreciates there may be some interest in the historical infrastructure and landscapes visible from the Monto branch line, accessing rail corridors- even disused ones is prohibited for your own safety.
Unmaintained track can have overgrown vegetation or unstable sections causing trip hazards, as well as concealing small and potentially dangerous animals.
