Greetings everyone from a rather dry September with only 3mm of rain recorded. A total of 231Volunteer hours was accomplished for September.
At last! our camping fee and permits cylinder was placed at Mount Debateable!!! Many Thanks Kyle for your patience! and all involved.

With enquiries regarding sand sections from Philpott to Munduberra, sand detour signs were purchased and placed to assist users.
Trail surface is determined by whether the trail is fenced or not and the uses conducted. (please discard any rocks over 4 cm if possible, thanks).
A citizen science Bird Monitoring project has been conducted over the last month along the trail from Reid’s Creek to Boomerang by our volunteers, progressing to Munduberra. Exciting recordings have been obtained at 12 locations along the trail so far. This detailed study will enhance our opportunities to source grant funding for future projects!! A Big ‘Thank You’ to Dave, Hans and everyone involved. (see attachment).

Kayaking and exploring was conducted by visiting trail users enjoying our wonderful Burnett River with its 12 klms. of permanent water alongside our trail.

Of course, tree watering is ongoing, but alas we are losing trees to the dry weather! Bullhead (Spiny emex) season is with us, so the chip hoe and selective herbicide are being used to attempt in control, always ongoing!
Members Richard and Dael are cleaning in preparedness for painting the siding signs and seats Dirnbir to Philpott. Their efforts are gratefully appreciated, even with a scrub they have come up grand! Many Thanks!
Further progress information to follow.
Our local Gayndah Welding Works and Engineering have been very supportive of our bench seat trail projects, it is with the help of business supporters, members and public that we are able to continue our community project!

So, until next month
Good Health and Cheer!
Mike
